Meet Our Music Director!

A violinist from the age of 4, Adam Davis has played and sung in some of the world's most famous cathedrals, including the Vatican, Notre Dame, St. Mark's, and countless others through Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, Ireland, and the Netherlands. More locally he played in the San Diego Youth Symphony, San Diego Youth Philharmonic String Orchestra and Soloist Ensemble, and was the inaugural concertmaster of the San Diego New Youth Orchestra. He was a Choral Scholar at the University of San Diego and currently sings with SACRA/PROFANA. His involvement in the theater world has included performances both singing and playing violin for Bodhi Tree, San Diego Junior Theater, OB Playhouse, Lamplighters' Theater, Living Light Theater, and Coronado Playhouse. As a conductor he has led the USD Concert Choir, Mira Mesa Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir, and the San Diego Taiwanese Community Center Choir, as well as the AmeriCal Youth Symphony.

Parish Choir

The Parish Choir consists of professional and volunteer singers, and they sing for the weekly Choral Eucharist at 8am on Sundays and quarterly Evensong services. This choir focuses on the bold Anglican choral tradition, focusing on a range of early and traditional music, with occasional forays into more modern repertoire.

For those with strong history in choral music or church tradition, this choir includes some of our volunteers with the most prior traditional music training.

Schedule
Thursday Rehearsal: 7pm–9pm (Choir Room)
Sunday Rehearsal: 7:15am–7:45am (Church)
Sunday Service: 8am (Church)

Family Choir

The Family Choir is inclusive of singers aged middle school and upward, and they explore a wide range of music performed each week for the Choral Eucharist at 9:30am on Sundays. Traditional Anglican music is still included as a part of worship, but with a stronger emphasis on more modern choral and praise band style repertoire. Choir members learn basic music theory and singing techniques at each rehearsal, and we welcome all those with little or no previous choral music experience. Professional singers provide leadership for each section, and help volunteers to orient themselves.

This choir is perfect for those with enthusiasm but varying degrees of musical background.

Schedule
Thursday Rehearsal: 6:00pm-7:30pm (Choir Room)
Sunday Service: 9:30am-10:30am (Church)
Note: This choir does not rehearse on Sunday mornings because of the 8am service.

Children’s Choir

An extension of Godly Play time every Sunday after the 9:30am service, Children's Choir is a wonderful way to learn music and singing techniques for all children ages 3-10. We focus not only on foundational singing and breath techniques, but elementary music theory and even diving into the text of the music we are learning.

The choir joins the Family Choir almost every Sunday for the Offertory Anthem at the 9:30 service, where their voices are supported and they are encouraged to contribute their musical gifts to aid in worship.

Schedule
Sunday Rehearsal: 10:45am - 11:15am
Sunday Service: 9:30am (Church)
