Dear Ones,
The last several Sundays we have heard story after story about how God’s love for the whole world is incarnate in Jesus, who brings living water to those who thirst, turns our upside down worlds right side up by working healing and new creation within us, and calls us to “come out!” of the tombs holding us back, unbinding us from whatever would keep us from embracing the hope God is offering us in the liberating, life-giving love of Jesus. This promise of new life culminates in Easter: God’s love overcoming even death and the grave.
In some ways, three years after the COVID-19 pandemic took hold, it feels like we’ve endured a 3-years-long Lent. It’s time to celebrate Easter, already!
We look forward to sharing this time with you, and any of your friends or family you invite along for the celebration. The Holy Week and Easter story is a transformative experience, especially as lived out in our liturgy, music and preaching. If you have a friend or loved one who is asking questions about faith, and showing signs of spiritual hunger, this is the perfect time to make such an invitation!
Sharing the liberating, life-giving love of Jesus is what we are about every day at St. Peter’s, working with God to bring about the new creation God dreams to be realized here and now, and your Special Easter Offering supports this mission. As you make your offering, we encourage you to be in prayer, to bless your generosity with your loving intention of new life and resurrection.
Thank you, in advance, for your generosity!
Love and peace,
Paige+
