THIS WEEK’S PREACHER: Angel Ibarra, currently the Associate Director of Strategic Partnerships and Government Affairs at Episcopal Community Services of San Diego, has built a diverse career in education and social services. He began as a school teacher in Philadelphia as part of the Alliance for Catholic Education at Saint Joseph’s University (ACESJU). Later, in San Diego, he worked with the Trans-Border Institute at The University of San Diego, emphasizing the opportunities at the bi-national border connecting Tijuana and San Diego. More recently, Angel served as the Outreach Director at Mission San Luis Rey Parish in Oceanside, CA. Angel's educational journey includes a BA in Politics from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., a Master’s Degree in Education from Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, P.A., and a Master’s Degree in Peace and Justice from The University of San Diego. Angel was recently recognized as one of San Diego's top 40 under 40 Leaders of Influence by the San Diego Business Journal.
