A native North Carolinian, Captain Tierian (Randy) Cash, Chaplain Corps, United States Navy Retired, was commissioned a Navy Chaplain in 1980 and served in a variety of assignments with the Navy and Marine Corps at both sea and ashore over his thirty-year career.
Prior to entering active duty, Rev. Cash pastored churches in South Carolina and Georgia. He holds master’s degrees from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, Wake Forest, NC (Master of Divinity), Norwich University (Master of Military History) and Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University (Master of Legal Studies).
After retirement from the Navy in 2010, Chaplain Cash served as Historian for the Navy Chaplain Corps, on the faculty of the Naval Chaplaincy School and Center, Fort Jackson, SC. In 2014 he was selected as National Chaplain of the American Legion serving until 2016. He continues to work with several veteran organizations.
Randy is the father of three daughters and grandfather of four boys and three girls.
