We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Gabriel Léger, a nationally recognized UCSD neurologist, for a special community presentation titled "Understanding Memory Loss Together" on October 24. The event will begin with a light supper and dessert at 5:30 PM, followed by Dr. Léger’s insightful lecture.

Dr. Léger, a board-certified expert in Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, brings extensive knowledge in diagnosing and treating conditions such as Lewy Body dementia, Parkinson’s disease, and Primary Progressive Aphasia. He is currently leading efforts at UCSD to develop a cutting-edge multidisciplinary memory disorders clinic, while also overseeing clinical trials in Alzheimer’s and other neurological conditions.

His distinguished career includes fellowships at Northwestern University and McGill University in movement disorders, as well as a role in the Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry fellowship program at the Cleveland Clinic. Before joining UCSD, Dr. Léger served as an assistant professor at the University of Montreal Faculty of Medicine. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency at McGill University, Quebec.

His presentation will offer valuable insights for those affected by memory loss and their caregivers.

This event is free and open to the public, thanks to our very generous partners, Viewpoint and Belmont Village. Reservations are still required due to limited seating. Early registration is encouraged. A free-will offering will be accepted, with proceeds supporting St. Peter’s Senior Ministry.
