Sunday Forum with Professor Amy-Jill Levine: Bridging Faiths Through Insight

Sunday, April 13 (Palm Sunday)
11am • Parish Hall

Last updated 4/10/25

This Sunday, our Parish Hall becomes a portal to rich theological conversation as we once again welcome Professor Amy-Jill Levine via Zoom for our Sunday Forum. Please join us after the Palm Sunday parade for what promises to be a fascinating and thought-provoking session.

Professor Levine holds the distinguished title of Rabbi Stanley M. Kessler Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies at Hartford International University for Religion and Peace. Her scholarship and teaching have long stood at the intersection of Christian and Jewish thought, helping both traditions gain a deeper understanding of one another.

Her groundbreaking career includes three audiences with Pope Francis and a historic moment in Spring 2019, when she became the first Jewish scholar to teach New Testament at Rome’s Pontifical Biblical Institute. Her election to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2021 further reflects the impact and breadth of her contributions to interfaith dialogue and biblical scholarship.

Whether you're a longtime fan of her work or encountering her teaching for the first time, this is a rare opportunity to learn from one of today’s most engaging and insightful voices on Scripture. Come with your coffee, your curiosity, and your questions. We’ll see you in the Parish Hall!
